JPRS Submitted Joint Opinion with World Technical Community at the United Nations Informal Stakeholder Consultations on the WSIS+20 Zero-Draft

On 13-14 October 2025, JPRS, together with members of the global technical community (TCCM[*1]), participated in the "Informal Interactive WSIS stakeholder consultations on the Zero-Draft" convened by the United Nations as a part of the WSIS+20 review process[*2].
The written and oral statement reaffirmed the importance of the multistakeholder approach that has underpinned the growth of the Internet and achievements of the WSIS process, and highlighted:
- Ensure an open and inclusive WSIS+20 review process
- Strengthen and institutionalize the Internet Governance Forum (IGF)
- Stable and diverse funding for the IGF
- Promote effective governance by leveraging existing mechanisms and avoiding duplication
